Dear Parents,

We are on the cusp of the Gold Rush, and the kids are getting so excited!  We have formed our mining cmpanies and this week will start looking at the rules of the mining camps, and how groups will earn gold!  Children need to start wearing gold rush clothing next week.

We are also working in class on "quick summaries" and perfecting our response to literature.  State testing is coming sooner then any of us like!

 

This week in math we are also going to take a practie STAR test, so that we can pinpoint the aras that we still need to work on.  This will be grueling- but the light is at the end of the tunnel!  Math Steps will also be due next week.

 

Science is begining to rock! We are looking at crystal formations and will grow our own salt crystals this week.  Next time you come to the classroom check out our other crystals growing in our windowsill.
